Kundalini Yoga 

Wednesday, September 19th 11am-12:30pm

The courage we bring to our yoga changes our lives.
Kundalini means the “coiled power:” the dormant, potential force that exists in each and every one of us. It resides at the base of our spine, coiled there like a sleeping serpent.
Most people go through their entire lives without waking that potential…but not us!

Join us as we Connect with our Deepest Personal Power
By Waking the Spirit of our Kundalini Serpent!

Short series called Kriyas, Mantras, Mudras and “Breath of Fire” clear Karma and tensions held in the body freeing the way for our Kundalini Spirit, our deepest potential, to rise up, inspire us and guide our lives!
This fast paced class is filled with f un 2-minute flows that add up to a detoxing, calorie burning, uplifting, energizing class like no other!

Class time: 1 ½ hrs.

 

Owning the Universal Space Workshop:
Thursday, September 20th 1pm-2:30pm

In the world around us is the air space, the floor space and the middle space in between.
These are the spaces we explore in our yoga practice on our mat.
We find peace on our yoga mat, however for so many of us, once we step off our mat into the outside world, things change.

This workshop focuses on bringing the peace and energy we feel on our mat in our yoga out to meet with the outside world.
Workshop participants connect with each other balancing out the space in continuous movement flows for this unique and empowering series. This is a workout with a Classroom-Style portion of the class.

Class time: 1 ½ hrs.

Yoga for Busy People Workshop:  Friday, September 21st 11:30am-1pm

This Hybrid Class Creates a Yoga Practice for You that can be done daily. Begin to effortlessly incorporate yoga into your daily life:

* Reduce stress with simple breathing techniques.
* Do yoga at your desk, in your kitchen, and in your car!
* Learn a short yoga series that can be fit into any schedule.

Class time: 1 ½ hrs.

Chakra Workshop: Sunday, September 23rd  10:30am-12:30pm

Taught in a classroom-style environment: we focus on poses to open each specific chakra, mudras to strengthen that chakra, mantras to expand the vibration of that chakra, in an exploration of what each chakra is about and what its focus is.

This workshop culminates with a Kundalini style series that draws energy from the Root Chakra all the way to the Crown integrating all seven energy centers.

Holiday Yoga Workshop

Wednesday, September 19th 6:30pm-8pm

Yoga comes from the word “yoke” which means to “join,” so join us as we join our Judaica to our Yoga!
This fun class puts a whole new spin on some of our favorite yoga poses!
Sure we’ve all done “Mountain” Pose, but how about the “Ten Commandments” Pose?
Experience: The Ten Commandments, Mt. Sinai, Etz Chaim, Noah’s Ark, Yom Kippur Chair and Many More!

At the Holiest moments of the year, we are reminded to integrate our spirituality into our daily life…well, for many of us our daily life includes yoga!

Through this multi-faceted class, we:

*Reach a greater understanding of the Spirituality involved in Forward Folds.
*Utilize our Breath as an instrument for Meditation and our personal conversation with our Higher Power.
*Explore yoga’s connection to ceremonial candle lighting.

 

Class time: 1 ½ hrs.
